John is a Washington native who has enjoyed travelling throughout the world, an opportunity his father’s work afforded him. His travels brought him to Washington, D.C. for junior high school and Frankfurt, Germany for high school. After graduating from Augsburg College in Minneapolis, John followed his passion for landscape and plants working in wholesale nursery management. After several years, he joined the Peace Corps and worked for two years in Kenya as an agro-forestry extension agent. When John completed his Peace Corp term, he travelled through several other African countries and discovered just how remote Timbuktu really is. Upon his return to Seattle, John returned to nursery management where he expanded his work into landscape construction. John now has over 25 years experience working in both commercial and residential landscape construction.
